Overview
This is not a cooking demonstration where you watch and clap. This is a proper, hands-on Moroccan masterclass: you'll walk the vibrant Souk to handpick your own vegetables and spices, then stand at the stove and make tagine and couscous the way a real home cook makes it — from feel, not from a recipe.
Our chefs are traditional home cooks, not actors in a studio kitchen. By the end you'll sit down to eat the best meal of your trip — one you made yourself — surrounded by the handmade crafts of the Kasbat Souss artisan complex. You'll also leave with a skill you'll annoy your friends with back home.
"We cook at home a lot, and this was the highlight of our trip. Shopping at the Souk, learning the real technique, then eating our own tagine in the courtyard of Kasbat Souss — absolutely magical." — Elena & Marco, Milan, Italy ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Experience (Itinerary)
1. Souk Shopping. We meet at Kasbat Souss, then walk the nearby Souk to handpick fresh vegetables, spices and herbs — learning what to look for as we go.
2. The Kitchen. Aprons on. We prepare the base of a traditional tagine and roll couscous by hand, with tips you won't find in any cookbook.
3. Cooking & Sharing. Everything simmers together as the kitchen fills with smells you'll never forget, then we sit down to eat as a group.
4. Dessert & Mint Tea. We finish with Moroccan sweets and endless mint tea in the artisan courtyard — the perfect slow ending.

Cultural Connection
Moroccan food is hospitality made edible — and no one does it like the Amazigh women and men of the Souss-Massa region. Our masterclass happens inside the Kasbat Souss artisan complex, surrounded by workshops where leather, pottery, wood and textiles are crafted by hand. You're not just learning a recipe; you're stepping into a living tradition of sharing meals, stories and mint tea that has defined Berber culture for centuries.
Kasbat Souss is the beating heart of Amazigh craft in Agadir — hand-made everything, mint tea, and the best tagine in town.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need cooking experience? None at all. We adapt to every level — from complete beginners to confident home cooks. The chefs are patient, encouraging and full of tips.
Is this suitable for vegetarians? Yes. Tell us in advance and we'll prepare a vegetable tagine and couscous — just as delicious, fully vegetarian.
How many people per class? We keep groups small (max 8) so everyone gets hands-on time and personal attention. It's also a great private activity for families or couples.
What do we take home? The recipes, the confidence to cook them, and a full belly. You'll also have made friends around the table — that's the Moroccan way.
